Zone CCTV were recently invited to upgrade the existing CCTV system at Cardigan Community Centre in Leeds. While there hadn’t been any incidents at the centre itself, there had been a noticeable increase in crime in the surrounding area and as we always say, prevention is better than cure.

For community based organisations like this, ensuring the safety of visitors, staff, and property is vital. We met with the centre’s management in person to understand exactly what they wanted from their CCTV system. This personal approach allows us to design a solution tailored to their needs, rather than just supplying an off the shelf kit.

To future proof the installation, we recommended a Hikvision IP CCTV system, our preferred and trusted brand. Four cameras were required at this stage, but we installed an 8 channel recorder to allow for easy expansion in the future.

The cameras were positioned externally to cover all key entrances and car park areas, with an additional internal camera providing coverage of the main reception area. Our engineers installed CAT5 Ethernet cabling throughout the site, carefully concealing cables behind drainpipes and along existing routes for a professional, tidy finish.

The management team were delighted with the new CCTV system and impressed with the clarity and image quality of the cameras. The new system gives them complete peace of mind and the flexibility to expand coverage in the future as needed.
