Our team at Zone CCTV was invited to provide a security quote for Mrs B’s Dog Grooming in Headingley, Leeds. The primary objective for this busy pet care facility was to achieve total coverage across every internal room and the outdoor yard area. In the modern pet care sector, CCTV coverage is essential. The business owner wanted to ensure that every aspect of daily operations could be reviewed if necessary, protecting both the staff and the animals in their care.

When our CCTV engineers first surveyed the property, the site was undergoing a complete commercial development phase. This was the ideal time for our team to step in. We assessed the layout of the rooms and the yard to determine the best possible camera positions, ensuring maximum visibility with zero blind spots. By mapping out the project early, we designed a tailored business security setup that perfectly aligned with the day-to-day workflow of the doggy daycare and grooming business.

We selected a compact turret design because it offers excellent coverage achieving approximately 90 degree viewing angle.  

Because the building was in its early development stages, our engineers completed a comprehensive first-fix installation. Our team ran all the cat5 data cables directly to the exact locations where the cameras would eventually be mounted, carefully bundling and labelling every single line. This early preparation allowed the plasterers and decorators to finish the walls directly over the wiring. This proactive step completely hid the cables from view and ensured an exceptionally tidy final finish.

Once the internal decorating and plastering were finished, our team returned to complete the commercial CCTV installation. We supplied and installed nine Hikvision IP 4mp cameras in a turret style camera. 

To make monitoring straightforward for the business operators, we installed a HDMI splitter system to feed two completely separate live viewing screens. We mounted a 24-inch HDMI LED monitor directly in the main reception area to show all live camera feeds at once. Our engineers then ran a secondary feed to a separate monitor situated upstairs. This dual-screen setup allows the management team to keep a close eye on the entire premises whether they are working on the ground floor or handling admin tasks upstairs.

The visible 24-inch monitor in the reception area serves a crucial dual purpose for the business. Given the worrying rise in regional dog theft stories, seeing a live, professional security system active on arrival gives clients absolute peace of mind that their pets are safe. To complete the system setup, we connected the directors’ smartphones to the Hik-Connect remote viewing app. This allows the business owners to securely check live footage and manage their property from absolutely anywhere in the world, leaving the client highly satisfied with our professional installation.
